Laughing with "Funny in Farsi"

I laughed really hard at some points during reading these two books. To me, Firoozeh Dumas-with no doubts- is a stunning story teller!
My number one favorite character in these books is her father, my "vote" this time goes for himself if you know what I mean. :D

I read funny in Farsi long ago and it was really something!
As well as you, I loved that funny father very much...
I am gonna find some time to read the other one; it is worthwhile trying!

I've only read "funny in Farsi" and I loved it. It was not only funny but sweet. Firoozeh Dumas is an exceptional writer with a very good sense of humor. Also what I admire about her is the way she acknowledged her parents (not directly) in several parts of the book.

I've only read Funny in Farsi, found the beginning hilarious and the rest perhaps a little repetitive. But it made me discover that a number of things I thought were particular to my family were actually pure Iranian, like rating restaurants by the cleanliness of their washrooms!
I will get the second one, thanks Behi!
