My mother, in her 70s living with my father in a small city far from her children, has found her Yahoo account and Facebook as a window that holds our different lives together. As a retired teacher she still has found her way to work and stay connected with students.
Once, I talked to her on the phone and realized she was sick, almost a week later me forgetful of her and what she was going through, received an e-mail from her saying she was feeling much better and every thing was fine...
One of the nicest parts of our conversation is when she starts giving me advice on how I should take care of my skin and how she's doing that for herself. Thinking of her being alone with her heart condition, this part makes me feel assured and calm for a short while...
