Where to start?

"The Fountain Overflows" by Rebecca West

"The Horseman on the Roof" by Jean Giono

Short stories by Maupassant

"Death Comes to the Archbishop" by Willa Cather

How about poets in English?

There is a very good series of paperbacks called "Everyman's Poetry", one book for each poet, which you can get through amazon.co.uk for not much more than the cost of postage. (Click on the "new and used" button).

England, like Persia, is famous above all for her poets.

I can't remember what I suggested last year. I hope it wasn't the same ones!

My three favorites (titles):

- Motherless Brooklyn
- The time (in?) between
- The Ha-Ha

Simple novels, but I like them :)
